A man is forced to choose between the girl he loves and the his best friend. Diwakar (Karthik) and Chandram (Radharavi) are best friends who reunite after years when the former returns to his village for a competition. Diwakar soon falls in love with Sri Bharati, the daughter of the village head, Shankarayya. But, Shankarayya despises Chandram and tells Diwakar that he would only allow him to marry his daughter if he stops seeing his best friend.
