During the 17th-century Mamankam festival held at the banks of Bharathappuzha, the Chaaverukal warriors come together and plot against the Zamorin rulers to overthrow them.

A famous Kovilakom is well known for its pedigree and tradition. Most of the people in the village are somehow related to this Kovilakom. When a prominent person comes from Delhi to the Kovilakom to solve their issues, the village is stirred up. Consequently, instead of a solution, the situation becomes increasingly complicated.
