Based on the inspiring true story of 12 underprivileged and orphan children from Kalinga Institute in Odisha, India 'Jungle Cry' follows their triumphant journey to the International Junior Rugby Tournament held in the UK in 2007.

The film is named after Captain Batra’s code name which is Shershaah. Sidharth Malhotra as Captain Vikram Batra personifies the free-spirited and courageous nature of the captain both in his personal and professional life. In real life, Captain Batra was just 25-years-old when he escorts a team at the Kargil war and Sidharth Malhotra looks the part. Kiara Adani is a woman head-over-heels in love with Captain Vikram Batra and has a strong identity and speaks her truth. The war scene ends with Captain Batra’s popular phrase- ‘Yeh Dil Maange More’.
