The fate of an innocent and unfortunate man takes a different course after he gains magical powers. Raju (Narsimha Raju) is a good-hearted man who is often cheated by his fellow villagers. When a local moneylender cheats him, all he is left with are some manuscripts written by his grandfather. However, the manuscripts lead him to a magical amulet, which helps him in attaining wealth and intelligence. Jealous of his wealth, the villagers plot to steal the magical amulet.

An ordinary man leads the fight against the feudal lords. There are still feudal lords across the country who practice slavery, defeating the very purpose of our right to freedom. This film portrays a common man’s (Chandramohan) fight against one such feudal lord (Nuthan Prasad) and the struggle to end his tyranny.

Jaganmohini (Jayamalini) commits suicide and becomes a ghost after getting betrayed by a king on the pretext of marriage. Later, the king is reborn as Raja (Narasimha Raju) and is married to a pious woman Gowri (Prabha). Mohini, now a ghost, plans to take away Raja from this world permanently. Can Gowri fight against the magical spells of Mohini and get her husband back?
