Set in the late 1930s and 40s, 'Qala' is a story about a young playback singer who goes by the same name. The story follows her journey as she unravels at the peak of her success, due to her tragic past catching up with her.

Soon after she is born, Aisha is diagnosed with SCID, a rare genetic disorder that is life threatening. Her parents, Aditi and Niren make it their life’s mission to do whatever it takes to make her survive for as long as possible. The narrative is about the Chaudhary family's zest for making every moment count, despite the trying times they go through.
