Set during the 17th century, when the Mughals planned to capture the Kondhana fortress as the capital of South India and extend their empire. The Maratha Emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj orders his loyal general Tanaji Malusare to capture Kondhana and protect Southern India from Mughal invasion. The Mughal emperor sent his trusted commander Uday Bhan to defend the fortress, The battle for the control of the fortress which decided the fate of Southern India is popularly known as the 'Battle of Sinhagad'.

During 18th century India, the Marathas emerged as the most powerful empire in the nation until the Afghan King Ahmad Shah Abdali plans to take over India. Sadashiv Rao Bhau is brought in to save the empire from the king which then leads to the third battle of Panipat.

A widow fights to prove her dead husband’s innocence. Young couple Sekhar (Ravi Teja) and Madhurima (Jyothika) work for the same ad agency. Sekhar is mistaken for a Maoist and is killed in a police encounter. The police refuse to acknowledge their mistake and try to frame Sekhar by planting false evidence. The film also stars Tabu.
