Edwin De La Renta began acting in his teens. He attended the renowned Sylvia Young Theatre School & was initially more interested in pursuing a career in dance. After studying a Sociology degree at Goldsmiths University he moved to New York where he studied the Meisner technique at The Donelli Acting school
