An unlikely romance blossoms in a college, but then tragedy strikes. Shobhana (Tamannaah) belongs to an upper middle class family, who has to spend some time in a government college, a totally different environment for her. Muthu (Akhil) is not like anyone she knows either and the two are attracted to each other. But fate has other plans for them.

Love between people from very different backgrounds becomes a complicated matter. Aishwarya (Sandhya), a student from a rich family, gets infatuated with Murugan (Bharath), who is only a mechanic. She charms him and persuades him to elope to Chennai. However, her family is determined to track them down and separate them.

Vikram, a medical college student, leads a gang of four to abduct corrupt politicians and bureaucrats who use the loopholes in law to enjoy their prison term in hospitals or guesthouses. Anitha, a school girl and daughter of Nassar, a police officer on the trail of the mysterious gang, has a crush on Vikram. She is not aware of his real identity.
