An ambitious investigative reporter, who dreams of finding employment with a reputed international news channel, travels to the home of his ex-employer in order to get a character reference letter from him. In the process, he becomes involved in the personal life of his ex-employer's daughter, sparking a complex sequence of events. How will his future unfold?

A man wages a battle against politicians and their dishonourable ways of campaigning when some political goons harm his father and sister due to a trivial issue.

The film opens when Madhumati or "Madhu" (Bhoomika Chawla) and Siddartha Roy or "Siddhu" (Pawan Kalyan) are born. Madhu's family is based in Konaseema in Andhra Pradesh and Sidhu's family is from Kolkota (he has a Telugu father and Bengali mother). As babies, Madhu and Siddhu meet in a shopping complex. Madhu and her father love each other dearly. Madhu's father wants her to marry so that the son-in-law can stay with them and his daughter will not leave her.

The State's Chief Minister, after being questioned by a reporter, Pugazhendi, challenges him to accept the position for a day, and see for himself the challenges that face him. Pugazhendi accepts the challenge, and immediately sets about to tour the region, suspend and prosecute corrupt officials, arrest several politicians, including the Chief Minister himself, and makes swift and decisive changes that will go to assist the most vulnerable, much to the chagrin of people in power.
