He is the son of M Srinivas. Umapathy completed his schooling and joined Gear Innovative College in Bangalore and pursued his BCom Degree. </p><p>Umapathy following his followed his passion and entered the film industry as a producer with 'Hebbuli' movie starring Kiccha Sudeep in 2017.
