Immanuel Vasanth Dinakaran who is known as D. Imman is a popular of music composers and singers in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi languages. Few of his best works include Tamizhan, Veerappu, Mynaa, Kumki, Tik Tik Tik, Viswasam etc. 

D. Imman was born on 24th January 1983 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He developed an interest in music at a very young age. He began working on music at the age of 15. He started his career by practicing under popular music composers that time like Mahesh Mahadevan, Adityan etc by playing keyboard.  

At the time, serial producer Kutty Padmini gave him an opportunity to work on the theme song and background music for 'Krishnadasi' drama. Imman later entered into the film industry by composing music for Kadhale Swasam movie but the film didn't got released. He first got credits for 'Thamizhan' film. 

Imman became one of the popular music composers and got flooded with offers. His top musical hits in his career include Tamizhan, Madrasi, Kalinga, Rendu, Kumki, etc. Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam is his 50th film whereas 'Tik Tik Tik' is his 100th movie as a music composer. 

Imman turned as a singer with 'Tamizhan' movie and crooned 'Maattu Maattu' song. He also composed the music for Sun TV serials including Kolangal, Thirumathi Selvam, Vasantham, Kalasam etc.  

D Imman first received his appreciation in 2010 and received Vijay Music Award for Best melody song of the year. He won four Filmfare Awards, one Tamilnadu State film award, two Vijay Awards, one Edison award, one Ananda Vikatan cinema award and one Zee Tamil award.  

Imman is appointed as the ambassador for Tamil Chair in the University of Toronto Canada in 2019.
