> While promoting Ranabaali, which releases on October 16, Vijay Deverakonda said he learned horse riding for the film and recalled a bike racing fall at a speed of 200 that scraped his knee.

Vijay Deverakonda has opened up about a racing crash that took the skin off his knee. He told the story while promoting his new film Ranabaali, which releases on October 16 for Dasara.

Speaking to the media, the actor said he learned horse riding for the film. Anyone learning to ride will fall at some point, he explained, and the rule is that whoever falls has to cut a cake and throw a party.

That custom reminded him of his bike racing days, when a rider's first fall from the bike also meant a party. Vijay said he raced on a proper track, leaning the bike all the way over. On one run at a speed of 200, he came off. His knee was scraped raw and the bike was dragged a long way.

He did his racing between the ages of 25 and 30. Those days are behind him now, he said, because he cannot take risks like that anymore.

The glimpse, songs and trailer are already out. In North America, reports say the film must gross $2.2 million to break even.
