> Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have reportedly filmed an episode of Koffee With Karan's final season while promoting Ranabaali, and Rashmika has spoken about why she signed the film.

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have reportedly filmed an episode of Koffee With Karan in Mumbai. The shoot comes while the pair are busy promoting their new film Ranabaali, which is set to release on October 16.

The timing makes this appearance even bigger. Karan Johar has confirmed that the ninth season of his chat show will be its last, ending a run of more than twenty years. An episode with Vijay and Rashmika would easily be one of the most talked about pairings on the famous couch in this final season.

Over the years the show has built its name on frank chats, bold remarks and surprise reveals. Vijay and Rashmika are two of the most discussed stars in South cinema, so fans are keen to see what Karan asks them, whether about their bond, their careers or their personal lives. The episode is expected to create plenty of buzz.

Away from the show, Rashmika has reportedly opened up about why she said yes to Ranabaali. She said the main reason was director Rahul Sankrityan. She added that she had wanted to work with him for a long time and saw him as a very sensible director, so she did not want to miss the chance.

Vijay being part of the film sealed the deal. According to reports, Rashmika agreed straight away once she learned he was playing the lead. She said it had been a long time since the two of them worked together on a film set, which made the project feel special.

She also spoke warmly about her character, Jayamma. Rashmika described the role as well written and full of emotional depth, and said she believes audiences will connect with it.
