# The Vvaan grosses 44.36 crore in three days as The Paradise faces its Monday test

Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia's folklore thriller The Vvaan had a strong first weekend at the box office. Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and produced by TVF and Balaji Motion Pictures, the film collected 44.36 crore gross worldwide in its first three days. It started well and grew sharply over the weekend.

The India numbers differ a little depending on the report. One count puts the three-day India net at 34.63 crore, with 40.86 crore gross at home and 3.5 crore gross from overseas markets. Another report puts the weekend India net slightly lower, at 33.60 crore.

The film now needs only 4.56 crore more to enter the top 10 highest grossing films of Sidharth Malhotra's career. The next target is Thank God, his fantasy drama with Ajay Devgn, which finished with 48.92 crore gross. After that come Ittefaq at 54.39 crore and Baar Baar Dekho at 55.74 crore. The Vvaan is already his second biggest grosser since COVID, behind only Param Sundari at 89.72 crore.

The weekdays will decide how far it goes. Reports expect a drop on day four, with a net collection of around 5 to 6 crore, although better turnout at night shows could push that number up. The film is reportedly expected to cross the 50 crore worldwide mark during the week, and it has until Thursday to hold before the Gandhi Jayanti releases arrive on Friday.

Nani's The Paradise opened in the same week. The Telugu film was dubbed and released in several languages, including Hindi. It held paid previews on Wednesday and opened on Thursday to a bumper start, but it slowed down over the weekend. Across its extended four-day weekend, it reportedly earned 92.10 crore net in India.

On day five, The Paradise is expected to earn around 5 to 6 crore, so reports say it may fall just short of the 100 crore domestic net club for now. Strong night shows could still carry Nani's film past that mark.
