> Tanushree Dutta, who accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment in 2018, called his death a positive development in her life after praying at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain.

Actress Tanushree Dutta has called Nana Patekar's death a "positive development" in her life. She said it in a new social media post after she prayed at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain.

His son Malhar Patekar confirmed that the 75-year-old actor died on October 8 after a cardiac arrest at his home in Goa. Tanushree first reacted to the news with a remark calling him "evil dead". The temple post is her second message since then.

She wrote that it was a coincidence that she got to visit Mahakal so soon after the news. She also said she had serious doubts about whether the death report was genuine. She thanked the deity for saving her from several attacks on her life. She also alleged that Nana and his friends had carried out harmful rituals against her.

Later in the post her words grew harsher. "I cannot fulfill my purpose in the world and I will leave from here if these people still continue to breathe," she wrote. She said she wanted all of them gone, with "full confirmation of their demise", and that she could no longer bear their "extreme negativity and persistent conspiracies."

Tanushree had accused Nana of sexual harassment on the set of Horn 'Ok' Pleassss. Her claim became public in 2018 and became one of the defining moments of the MeToo movement in India. Nana denied the allegations, and reports say the police case was closed in 2019 for lack of sufficient evidence.
