Actor Swara Bhasker has spoken openly about wanting to become a mother before she was married, in a frank moment on the reality show Rise and Fall Season 2. She told the other contestants that she once planned to have a child through IVF, at a time when she did not expect to marry at all.

Swara said she first had to win her parents over. She recalled telling them that marriage was not going to happen for her, so she would have a baby through IVF instead. She called her parents very sweet people and said they supported her choice, but they also warned her that the road ahead would be very challenging.

The actor then explained that her deep wish for a child and a family pushed her to go ahead with the treatment. She went through two rounds of IVF, but neither worked. Reports say she used an anonymous donor for the attempts.

Her life changed after she met politician Fahad Ahmad. Swara reportedly said the two clicked almost at once and chose a court wedding. According to reports, they first met at a protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act in New Delhi in January 2020 and registered their marriage in Mumbai on February 16, 2023.

The couple's daughter, Raabiyaa, is now three years old. Reports say she was born on September 23, 2023, and that Swara celebrated her birthday shortly before entering the show.

Life inside the show has not been calm for her. Swara has reportedly clashed with fellow contestant Shehzad Poonawalla since the season began, and the two are known for their sharply different political views outside the show. The season is reportedly hosted by Virender Sehwag.
