> On Rise and Fall Season 2, Swara Bhasker described how a director messaged her poetry, pushed for a private rehearsal and later came drunk to her door at night asking for a hug.

Swara Bhasker has opened up about a frightening experience with a film director from the early years of her career. The actor shared the story as a contestant on Rise and Fall Season 2, recalling a shoot where a filmmaker crossed one line after another before turning up drunk at her door late at night.

According to Swara, it happened on a film she took up soon after Tanu Weds Manu, one in which she was cast as the heroine for a 56-day shoot. She said the director first told her that a filmmaker ought to love his actors. He then began sending her messages and poetry. One report says the verses were about her looks, and that she chose to stay polite.

Things got worse when a romantic song sequence came up. The director wanted the two of them to rehearse it alone. Swara said no, and asked for her co-star and the cameraperson to be called in, arguing that a rehearsal should include everyone. She stressed that she was "the only woman" staying at the guest house where the unit was based.

Later, she noticed the director and the cinematographer drinking, with half a bottle already finished. That night, she said, the director kept knocking on her door. When she opened it, he was clearly drunk and asked her for a hug. Swara said she refused firmly and told him to leave because she was scared. She added that there was little more she could do, since he was the one directing the film.

The actor said the episode was harder because she was still young and trying to find her footing in the industry, while dealing with senior members of the crew. She reportedly shared the account with fellow contestants Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary and Tej Pratap Yadav.

Reports say Swara went on to work in films such as Raanjhanaa, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Veere Di Wedding. Rise and Fall Season 2 is reportedly hosted by Virender Sehwag.
