Sunil Grover has once again shown why his impressions are in a league of their own. In a promo released by Netflix India for The Great Indian Kapil Show season 5, the comedian turns into Ajay Devgn, copying the actor's look, voice and mannerisms. He even strikes the famous Singham pose while talking up the new episode.

The episode brings the Drishyam 3 team to the show as part of the film's promotions. Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Jaideep Ahlawat and director Abhishek Pathak join Kapil Sharma, Sunil Grover and the rest of the gang for an evening of laughs and stories from the franchise.

Fans filled the comments with praise. One viewer asked, "Is Sunil Grover a shapeshifter?" Others said the mimicry felt more original than the real thing, and one joked that he might be the first comedian who makes the actual star feel uncomfortable.

Grover has spent years impersonating big names, and his takes on Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Gulzar have reportedly done the rounds online too. He has also reportedly said that he only impersonates people he genuinely admires, and that he sees the act as a celebration rather than simple copying.

The episode has another surprise. Jaideep Ahlawat, known for intense turns in Paatal Lok and the Drishyam films, steps into a dance number with Sona and Mona 2.0, played by Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda.

The new season reportedly premieres on Netflix on September 26 at 8 PM, with fresh episodes every Saturday, after a six-month break. Drishyam 3, directed by Abhishek Pathak, is reportedly set to reach theatres on October 2, 2026, with Ajay Devgn back as Vijay Salgaonkar.
