> Bandish Bandits actor Shreyaa Chaudhry will play the female lead opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in Sameer Saxena's thriller Mupapa, which is set to reach cinemas on February 19, 2027.

Ayushmann Khurrana has found his leading lady for Mupapa. Shreyaa Chaudhry, who won over viewers with her work in the Prime Video series Bandish Bandits and The Mehta Boys, will play opposite him in the upcoming film. The movie is set to release in theatres on February 19, 2027.

Shreyaa has built a steady following through natural, grounded performances. Her work across both seasons of Bandish Bandits was praised for feeling real and relatable. The Mehta Boys then gave her room to show her range with a more layered role. Mupapa is a big step forward in her career, putting her in a theatrical release next to an established star.

Sameer Saxena directs the film. It is produced by Akshaye Widhani, the CEO of Yash Raj Films, together with Posham Pa Pictures, the banner Saxena co-founded with Biswapati Sarkar, Saurabh Khanna and Amit Golani. Mupapa is the first theatrical project that the studio and the production house have made together.

The makers are keeping the story firmly under wraps. What has been shared is that Mupapa is a genre-bending thriller, and the team promises audiences a fresh visual experience and an engaging ride in theatres. The film is now in post-production.

There is more good news for Shreyaa. She has signed with YRF Talent, the talent management arm of Yash Raj Films, for exclusive management. The agency looks after a roster that includes Rani Mukerji, Ayushmann Khurrana, Sonam Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor, Sharvari, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, among others. With a lead role in a big studio film and a new management team behind her, Shreyaa is starting an exciting new chapter.
