> Allu Arjun's 23rd film with director Lokesh Kanagaraj faces conflicting reports, with one saying pre-production is quietly underway and another claiming the project has been shelved, sparking talk of other directors.

Allu Arjun's 23rd film, planned with Tamil star director Lokesh Kanagaraj, has become the subject of conflicting reports. Fresh buzz on social media claimed that the two had parted ways and that the project was off. The reports so far do not agree on what is really happening.

One report says the film is very much alive. According to it, pre-production is moving along quietly, and the team plans to begin shooting once Allu Arjun finishes Raaka, the film he is reportedly busy with right now. Mythri Movie Makers is said to be backing the big project, with more details expected to come out in time.

AA23 has already made an impression. The theme composed by Anirudh Ravichander for the film drew a huge response, and reportedly even Prime Minister Narendra Modi used it in one of his Instagram posts.

Another report tells a different story. It claims Allu Arjun has effectively shelved the Lokesh Kanagaraj film and is now looking to set up another project. The same report notes that his film with Atlee has been in production for more than a year, with spending said to be far beyond the usual.

The shelving talk led to speculation that the star might reunite with Boyapati Srinu, who gave him the blockbuster Sarrainodu. Reports suggest this is very unlikely for now. After the success of the Pushpa franchise, Allu Arjun is a pan India star, and he is said to be wary of a collaboration that could limit his reach. The Geetha Arts team has reportedly confirmed that this pairing is not happening. Basil Joseph is said to be waiting in the wings as a possible replacement if the Lokesh Kanagaraj project does not move ahead.

Until the makers speak, the fate of AA23 depends on which report turns out to be right.
