> FUJIFILM India has named Rashmika Mandanna the brand ambassador for its Imaging Solutions range, covering instax, Electronic Imaging and Photo Imaging, as the company looks to reach younger buyers across the country.

Rashmika Mandanna has a new brand deal. FUJIFILM India has signed the actress as the brand ambassador for its Imaging Solutions business. The role covers the Electronic Imaging, instax and Photo Imaging lines across the country, and the company is counting on her wide appeal to reach a younger set of buyers.

The tie-up is a natural fit, because Rashmika already uses an instax camera herself. Speaking about the deal, she said she likes to capture small, everyday moments and enjoys watching a printed photo appear in her hands, ready to share with someone close. She added that she is excited to help bring the fun of photography to more people in India.

The company has praised her warmth and her bond with audiences of all ages, and called her an easy choice for the brand. Koji Wada, Managing Director of FUJIFILM India, reportedly said her positive energy matches the group's purpose of "Giving our world more smiles". He also said the company hopes to spark an interest in photography among a new generation.

Arun Babu, Associate Director of the Imaging Solutions Division, reportedly said the range goes well beyond cameras, and pointed to a "click to print" journey that runs across its products. The portfolio includes digital cameras, instax instant cameras, smartphone printers, QuickSnap cameras, binoculars and photo printing services.

With Rashmika on board, the brand wants more people to know about its cameras, printers and other imaging products, and more people to try photography for themselves. Reports say the deal also builds on the company's earlier efforts to reach young buyers, such as the Fujifilm Spectrum tour, X-Space and the House of Photography in Mumbai.
