> Ramayana Part 1 will hold US premiere shows on Wednesday, November 4, at 3 PM EST, ahead of its US release on November 5, with Godzilla Minus Zero as its main rival for screens.

Ramayana Part 1 will begin its US run with premiere shows on Wednesday, November 4, at 3 PM EST. That works out to 1:30 AM IST on November 5, the same day the film releases across the US.

Nitesh Tiwari directs the mythological epic, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash. Its budget is Rs 4,000 crore.

The makers want to avoid a clash with Hollywood's Godzilla Minus Zero, so they brought the US release forward by a day to secure more theatres. Reports say Ramayana's hold on IMAX and other premium large-format screens could still weaken once the premieres are over.

Those screens matter for a film built on scale, grand visuals and large action set pieces. Producer Namit Malhotra has repeatedly stressed how important the US and overseas markets are to the project.
