Ram Charan and director Sukumar will formally launch their new film, tentatively called RC17, on October 20, just ahead of Dasara.

Mythri Movie Makers is producing the project and has already started preparing for the launch. The film was announced some time ago. It brings the actor and the director together again after Rangasthalam.

This will be Sukumar's first film since Pushpa 2, which reached theatres in December 2024.

The principal cast is still under wraps. The makers are expected to reveal those names, along with details of the technical team, at the launch. Sukumar has not yet confirmed who will compose the music.

At the box office, the festive window is already busy. Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 and Vijay Deverakonda's Ranabaali are lined up for release on October 15 and 16.
