> Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan reunite for an untitled Sajid Khan comedy of errors produced by Ektaa R Kapoor, with Disha Patani and Shriya Saran as the romantic leads and shooting expected in London.

Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan are set to share the screen again, this time in a full-scale comedy directed by Sajid Khan. The untitled film, produced by Ektaa R Kapoor, has also added Disha Patani and Shriya Saran to its cast. The two actresses will play the romantic leads opposite the male stars.

The project is being shaped as an out-and-out entertainer built around a comedy of errors. Its story follows middle-aged men caught in a string of comic mix-ups, and the makers plan to mount it on a much bigger scale than a regular situational comedy. Madhavan is reportedly stepping into a kind of role he has not tried before in the comedy space.

The reunion follows Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh (2025), where the two played rivals in a courtroom drama. This time they will be on the same side. Reports say their last comedy together was Housefull 2, nearly 14 years ago. Akshay and Sajid Khan have earlier teamed up on Heyy Babyy, Housefull and Housefull 2.

Shooting is expected to begin in London at the end of 2026 or in early 2027, and the London schedule is likely to be a key part of the production. Akshay will take up the comedy after wrapping Samuk, reportedly an alien survival thriller from Kanishk Varma, and plans to shoot it in one start-to-finish schedule. Sajid Khan, meanwhile, will first complete Hero Ki Horrorine, which stars Yashvardhan Ahuja and Nitanshi Goel.

On the work front, Akshay was reportedly last seen in Haiwaan alongside Saif Ali Khan, which reached theatres on September 11, 2026. Madhavan has a long career across Hindi and Tamil cinema, with films such as Alaipayuthey, Anbe Sivam, 3 Idiots and Tanu Weds Manu, and he has also been part of the Dhurandhar franchise.
