# Nani's The Paradise shrugs off poor reviews with a career-best box office start

Natural Star Nani's The Paradise opened on 24 September 2026 with huge expectations, and the reviews did not go its way. Critics were largely negative to mixed, and the film was heavily trolled on social media. Nani answered by thanking audiences for their love. He also said he would take the critics' feedback constructively and learn from his mistakes.

The box office tells a very different story. The film has reportedly become the fastest in Nani's career to reach the Rs 100 crore mark, getting there in just two days. Reports credit that pace to the actor's star power, which has held firm even with the reviews against the film.

The momentum is not limited to one market. The makers did not promote the film in other languages, yet it is said to be doing well in Karnataka. The Hindi version is also reportedly performing well at the box office.

North America gave the action thriller a strong start too. Advance bookings for the premiere shows and the first day had already reached $1.25 million. The premieres alone reportedly grossed $1.42 million, about Rs 13.61 crore. That is a career high for Nani, well ahead of the $870K earned by HIT: The Third Case. The figure places it tenth among Tollywood premieres of all time in the region, edging past Guntur Kaaram by a very thin margin.

The negative word of mouth did hurt walk-ins on the first day proper, which brought in $210K. Even so, the combined total of $1.63 million, roughly Rs 15.62 crore, is Nani's biggest opening day in North America, beating the $1.19 million of HIT: The Third Case. It also ranks 14th among Tollywood openings there, just above Saaho at $1.46 million.

Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise stars Kayadu Lohar as the female lead, with Keerthy Suresh appearing in a special song. Mohan Babu and Raghav Juyal play powerful roles.
