# Nani's The Paradise crosses Rs 100 crore net in India on Day 6

Nani's The Paradise has gone past the Rs 100 crore net mark in India, reaching the milestone on its first Tuesday in theatres. The film collected Rs 4.40 crore net on Day 6, a 12 per cent fall from the Rs 5 crore it made on Monday.

With Tuesday's numbers added, the film's India net total now stands at Rs 101.50 crore, and its India gross has reached Rs 120 crore. The sixth day's business came from 5,772 shows across the country. The Telugu version led with Rs 3.55 crore, the Hindi version brought in Rs 80 lakh, and the Tamil version added Rs 5 lakh.

Overseas markets added another Rs 50 lakh on Tuesday, taking the film's overseas gross to Rs 30.50 crore. That brings the worldwide gross to Rs 150.50 crore.

The road to this point has been uneven. The film reportedly began with a special screening on September 23 that earned Rs 11.60 crore, followed by Rs 34.65 crore on its first day, September 24. Reports say it then made Rs 14.90 crore on Friday, Rs 15.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 15.70 crore on Sunday, before the sharp weekday slide set in.

The film reportedly drew widespread negative reviews, which is said to have hurt its momentum after the strong start. Reports also suggest it was made on a budget of more than Rs 200 crore, though that figure has not been officially confirmed. How it holds over the rest of the week and its second weekend will decide how its theatrical run turns out.

According to reports, The Paradise is directed by Srikanth Odela and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri and Ishan Saksena under the Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas and IVY Entertainment banners.
