> Kona Venkat says NTR phoned him after a gap of three years, and the two will meet later this week to talk about Adhurs 2, a sequel to the NTR comedy Adhurs.

Adhurs 2 has taken a real step forward. Kona Venkat says NTR called him recently, the first time the two have spoken in three years, and that he will meet the star later this week to talk about the sequel.

Fans still remember the original Adhurs for the comedy NTR and Brahmanandam created as a pair of priests. Talk of a second part has been going around for a long time.

Kona Venkat has never hidden how much he wants it. Some time back, he said he was willing to go to any length to win Tarak over, even sitting on a dharna outside the actor's home. He also said no one in Indian cinema could play the priest role as well as NTR.

Now the phone call has turned that wish into a meeting, and he plans to bring up Adhurs 2 when they sit down.
