# KGF actress Srinidhi Shetty calls Rs 8 crore salary reports a rumour

Srinidhi Shetty has denied reports that she now asks for Rs 7 to 8 crore per film, calling the figure nothing more than a rumour.

The KGF actress pointed out that she has done only a handful of films so far. With that record, she said, there is no way she could demand a fee that large.

Money, she added, has never decided which scripts she signs. Had earnings been her only aim, she said, her list of films would be far longer by now. Instead she picks projects for a good story and a strong character, a rule she says she has followed since she started and one that has made her turn down several offers.

She is also willing to take a smaller fee when the film and her role are right. Being known as a good actress matters more to her than a big pay cheque, she said.

Talk about her fee grew after the success of the KGF films, which brought her recognition across India. She has stayed choosy about her work ever since.
