> On Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, Jaipur contestant Almas Khan told Amitabh Bachchan she fell asleep while watching his 1997 film Mrityudaata as a child, and the host answered with a quick, playful jab.

Amitabh Bachchan heard an unusually honest confession on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18. Contestant Almas Khan from Jaipur told the host that she had dozed off during one of his films. He answered with a quick joke of his own.

Almas calls herself a big film lover. She recalled a childhood outing with her cousins to Jaipur's famous Raj Mandir theatre to see his 1997 action drama Mrityudaata. She admitted she did not follow much of the story. The hall was so beautiful and the air-conditioning so pleasant that she drifted off. When she opened her eyes, the film was over and one of his songs was playing on screen.

She added that it is still the first Bachchan film she remembers seeing in a theatre. Big B looked a little let down but bounced back with humour. "Wait a minute, how did you watch it while sleeping?" he asked, and wondered what exactly she had seen if the picture had already ended.

Mrityudaata, directed by Mehul Kumar, marked Bachchan's return to the big screen after a five-year break from acting. Dimple Kapadia, Karisma Kapoor, Arbaaz Ali Khan and Paresh Rawal were also in the cast. He reportedly played a doctor named Ram Prasad who takes on corruption and crime. Despite the excitement around his comeback, the film drew mostly negative reviews and struggled at the box office.

Almas reportedly took the hot seat in the September 30 episode, during the show's India Challenger Week. Reports say she is a single mother of two who runs a tiffin service in Jaipur. She reportedly walked away with Rs 5 lakh after getting the Rs 12.5 lakh question wrong.

KBC 18 premiered on August 10. It airs at 9 pm, Monday to Friday, on Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV.
