> Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan won Rs 12.5 lakh for charity on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, where Ayushmann jokingly apologised to Amitabh Bachchan for calling him an old man in Gulabo Sitabo.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan sat in the hot seat opposite Amitabh Bachchan in a celebrity episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 that aired on October 5. They came on the show to promote their upcoming film Udta Teer and played for charity. They left with Rs 12.5 lakh.

The fun started when the conversation turned to Gulabo Sitabo, their 2019 film together. Ayushmann jokingly said sorry to Big B for calling him "budhau", or old man, on screen. He told the host there was nothing 84 about him in real life and that he seemed more like 24. Bachchan played along and asked what exactly an 84-year-old is supposed to do.

Sara said she felt a little jealous of her co-star, because he had already worked with the veteran. Her mother Amrita Singh and her grandmother Sharmila Tagore have both acted with him, but she is still waiting for her chance. Bachchan answered by praising the beautiful eyes of the Pataudi family, going back to her grandfather, former cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. He also remembered seeing Pataudi's mother driving an open Jaguar in Delhi.

The episode had plenty more. In a KBC Radio segment, Ayushmann sang a Bachchan song as a tribute during the host's birthday week. Big B was challenged to say famous lines from Zanjeer, Deewar and Kabhi Kabhie in moods that did not fit them. In the Super Sandook round, the pair got eight of ten questions right. Bachchan said that anyone who gets all ten right is invited to his home for lunch, and 11 families have been invited so far.

When the talk turned to trolling, Big B said a joke he posted about petrol prices 10 to 15 years ago still follows him. Whenever prices go up, people ask him why he is silent. The pair's biggest answer came on the Rs 12.5 lakh question, after using the MahaFlip lifeline. They had to name the Christopher Nolan film with scenes set in Mumbai, and Tenet was correct. The prize money will reportedly go to the Balashah Foundation and UNICEF India.
