# Kajol brings back Anjali's look as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai turns 28

Kajol marked 28 years of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai by stepping back into Anjali's shoes, posting a fresh look in red with her hair cut short.

"Can magic ever be recreated? Here's Anjali a couple of years later," the actor wrote with the post. It was a cheeky nod to the tomboy style that made her character so easy to spot back in 1998.

The romantic drama, directed by Karan Johar, released that year with Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji in the lead roles. Shah Rukh played Rahul, Anjali's closest friend, and that friendship sits at the centre of the film's love story.

Johar has looked back on the film before. For its 27th anniversary last year, he posted candid moments from the shoot, describing a set "filled with love, too much banter, and happiness" and thanking audiences for the love they keep giving the film.

Fans were left nostalgic all over again, nearly three decades after Anjali first reached theatres.
