> Janhvi Kapoor has condemned an AI-morphed clip made from her Devara Part 1 song Chuttamalle, Jr NTR has backed her, and Ram Gopal Varma says the focus should be on catching whoever made it.

Janhvi Kapoor has spoken out strongly against an AI-morphed video made from Chuttamalle, her hit song with Jr NTR in Devara Part 1. The fake clip spread quickly online. It has started a wide debate about how artificial intelligence is being used to target women without their consent.

In a long note, Janhvi said that using technology to objectify women and spread made-up content without their consent is deeply violating. Reports say she went further, calling it close to sexual assault and saying that almost every woman in her industry has faced some version of it. She said consent, choice and respect for a woman's body should be the most basic ideas of humanity. In her view, they are not complicated.

The actress also reportedly argued that the burden cannot sit only with women and their families. Telling parents to protect their daughters is not enough, she said. People must unlearn the belief that they have the right to cross someone else's boundaries. She closed with a simple line: "Her body. Her image. Her boundaries. Her choice."

Jr NTR also condemned the use of AI to disrespect a woman. According to reports, he warned that legal action would be taken against those who created and shared the clip. Janhvi reportedly thanked him for taking such a firm stand on an issue that did not directly involve him. She also thanked Chiranjeevi, Vijay Deverakonda and Khushbu Sundar for adding their voices.

Not everyone agreed with how the industry reacted. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma reportedly said that the stars' posts had only spread the objectionable link to crores of people. He argued that the smarter move would have been to focus on catching the person behind the video and then publicise that arrest. He also said the reaction drew needless attention to the victim and to the offensive material.

The episode has put AI misuse in Indian cinema back at the centre of the conversation. It has also raised the question of how the industry should respond when such content surfaces again.
