The second single from Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 has arrived. Titled One Sun One Moon, the track is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and lands ahead of the film's theatrical release on October 15. The lyrical video also gives fans fresh glimpses of the superstar in the sequel.

Anirudh has sung the number himself along with MS Krsna, while Heisenberg and Super Subu wrote the lyrics. The song is built as a tribute to Rajinikanth's legacy and stardom, and it keeps the spirit of the first film alive. It reportedly blends soft rock with traditional Indian music, and its title is said to be a nod to the superstar's classic Baasha.

Early reactions are mixed. Many fans filled the comments under the lyrical video with praise for Anirudh, and some called it a goosebumps moment. Others reportedly feel it does not yet match the impact of the first film's chartbusters such as Kaavaalaa, Hukum and Rathamaarey. Dhanush has reportedly moved his film OM: Chapter 1, which also features Mammootty, away from its October 16 date to avoid a clash with Jailer 2. He said the decision was made out of respect for Rajinikanth, and added that the film will not come out for Diwali either.

With promotions picking up pace, fans can expect more music and glimpses from the team in the coming weeks.
