Nelson Dilipkumar directs this sequel to the 2023 hit Jailer, with Sun Pictures producing and Anirudh Ravichander on music. Rajinikanth returns as retired jailer Tiger Muthuvel Pandian.

It is a packed cast. Hrithik Roshan, Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Vidya Balan, S.J. Suryah, Ramya Krishnan, Mithun Chakraborty, Jackie Shroff, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Yogi Babu and Vijay Sethupathi all feature.
