# Jailer 2 makers confirm Hindi release on October 15 despite OTT window row

Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 will release in Hindi on Thursday, October 15, alongside all its other language versions, the makers confirmed in an official statement. Pen Marudhar Entertainment is handling the film's distribution in North India.

The clarification came after reports claimed the Hindi version might miss national multiplex chains such as PVR INOX and Cinepolis. The dispute was about how soon the film moves from theatres to streaming. The makers had reportedly agreed to a four-week OTT window, while the chains expect eight weeks for Hindi films.

In the statement, the team said nothing had changed in the Hindi theatrical plan. They also asked media platforms to stop circulating unverified information about the release.

Director Nelson Dilipkumar, who made the first Jailer, reunites with Rajinikanth for the sequel. Sun Pictures backs the film and Anirudh Ravichander returns as composer, while Hrithik Roshan and Shivarajkumar are expected to appear in cameos.
