# Jailer 2: Album launch and trailer date set ahead of October 15 release

Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 is only a few weeks away from theatres, and the promotions are about to pick up speed. The sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer is set to release on October 15, which reportedly puts it right in the Dussehra festive season.

The first big event comes soon. The film's full album will reportedly be launched at a special event on September 30. Fans have been asking composer Anirudh to release the mass elevation tracks, and a strong response at the album event could push the buzz around the film even higher.

The theatrical trailer will be unveiled on October 5, with the album launch coming before it. Reports say the third and fourth singles will also drop ahead of the trailer, as the makers line up one update after another in the final stretch before release.

Nelson Dilipkumar is directing, and he is reportedly busy with post-production work right now. Sun Pictures is said to be producing the film. According to reports, the sequel is a Tamil action drama that continues the retired officer's fight against new and more dangerous enemies.

The cast is loaded. Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Mirnaa, Ramya Krishnan and Mithun Chakraborty play key roles. SJ Suryah and Yogi Babu are reportedly part of the cast as well. The film also has a list of big special appearances, with Mohanlal, Hrithik Roshan, Shiva Rajkumar and Vijay Sethupathi all set for cameos.

With an album event, fresh singles and a trailer all packed into the next few weeks, Superstar fans have plenty to look forward to before Jailer 2 reaches the big screen on October 15.
