Dulquer Salmaan has taken responsibility for the box-office failure of I'm Game. He told a fan on X that if anyone has to be blamed for the result, it should be him.

The fan had posted a long thread on where the film went wrong and asked the actor if he had read it. He had. "I read through it. I'm not saying you were wrong in your analysis. You were mostly right. And trust me, we are aware of all of it," Dulquer wrote. He added that a team can get everything right on its side and still see outside factors undo all of it.

Making a film is never simple, the actor said, and no formula or textbook method can guarantee a good one. Judging the finished product is the easy part. In his view, no production house or actor ever sets out to make a bad film. "I'll always stand by my team and if you want to blame someone you can blame me," he wrote.

Nahas Hidhayath directed I'm Game, and Dulquer produced it under his Wayfarer Films banner. The cast includes Antony Varghese, Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, Vinay Forrt, Parth Tiwari and Samyuktha Vishwanathan.
