> Drishyam The Conclusion, the final Hindi chapter of the franchise, reportedly earned Rs 95.10 crore worldwide on day one, the biggest opening of Ajay Devgn's career, as early reviews come in largely positive.

Ajay Devgn's Drishyam The Conclusion, the third and final Hindi chapter of the Drishyam franchise, has reportedly given the actor the biggest opening day of his career. Trade figures put its worldwide first-day total at Rs 95.10 crore. That includes Rs 66.75 crore net and Rs 80.10 crore gross from India, plus another Rs 15 crore from overseas markets.

The film reportedly played across 15,759 shows on its first day. Occupancy is said to have climbed through Friday, from 46.38 per cent in the morning to 70.15 per cent in the afternoon, 75.31 per cent in the evening and 76.46 per cent at night. That works out to 67.08 per cent overall.

If these numbers hold, the thriller leaves Devgn's earlier best, Singham Again at around Rs 43.5 crore, well behind. According to reports, Singham Returns (Rs 32.1 crore), Golmaal Again (Rs 30.15 crore) and Raid 2 (Rs 19.25 crore) make up the rest of his top five openers. The new film has also beaten both earlier parts on day one. Drishyam (2015) opened at Rs 5.85 crore and finished at Rs 110 crore worldwide. Drishyam 2 (2022) started at Rs 15.38 crore and ended its run at Rs 342 crore worldwide.

Devgn is back as Vijay Salgaonkar, the cable operator who will do anything to protect his family. Shriya Saran plays his wife Nandini and Ishita Dutta plays his daughter Anju. Tabu returns as IG Meera Deshmukh, whose son Sameer died at the hands of Nandini and Anju in an act of self-defence. This time, new evidence reopens the case, and Vijay once again works to stay one step ahead of the police. Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat are reportedly part of the cast too.

Early reviews have been largely positive, with praise for Devgn and Tabu. One review reads the film as an allegory for a post-truth world, with Vijay using rumours, WhatsApp and public anger to shape the story in his favour. The same review notes that this Hindi chapter goes its own way from the Malayalam version, leaning into punchy dialogue and the feel of a classic Bollywood entertainer. The film released in theatres on October 2.
