# Dhurandhar The Revenge gets 45 to 50 cuts for TV premiere, runs 10 minutes shorter

Dhurandhar The Revenge (2026) ruled the box office and drew big numbers on OTT. Now the action saga is heading to television. It will premiere on Star Gold on Sunday, October 18, at 7:00 pm. Getting there took some work. The film carried an 'A' certificate in theatres, so it had to go back to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for a version that younger viewers can watch at home.

The board cleared the television cut with a U/A 16+ certificate on September 24. According to reports, the makers were asked to make between 45 and 50 cuts before that approval came through. Nearly all of these changes are said to involve the film's most violent and gory scenes.

A trade source reportedly said the team removed the disturbing parts with care, so the film still hits as hard as before. Once the edits were done, the CBFC approved the television premiere.

The trims make a clear difference to the running time. The CBFC website lists the U/A 16+ version at 219 minutes and 6 seconds, which is 3 hours, 39 minutes and 6 seconds. The theatrical release ran 3 hours, 49 minutes and 6 seconds, so the television version is about 10 minutes shorter.

Aditya Dhar directs the Dhurandhar franchise, which stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun. Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar produce it along with Jyoti Deshpande. The story follows an Indian spy who works his way into a feared gang in Karachi, Pakistan, and causes chaos from the inside.

The first film, Dhurandhar (2025), released on December 5. Dhurandhar The Revenge followed in cinemas on March 19 this year. Both films went on to become record grossers, and fans who missed the sequel in theatres will now get another chance to see it.
