> Chiranjeevi called Amitabh Bachchan his "dearest Guru Ji" in a social media post as the Hindi cinema legend turned 84, praising his love for cinema, his warmth and his humility.

Chiranjeevi greeted Amitabh Bachchan as his "dearest Guru Ji" as the Hindi cinema legend turned 84 on Sunday, October 11.

"Happy Birthday to my dearest Guru Ji @SrBachchan. Your love for cinema and the respect you bring to your craft have always been an inspiration to me," the Telugu megastar wrote on social media. With the post, he shared a photo of the two actors hugging.

Then he turned to the man behind the stardom. "Beyond your towering achievements, it is your warmth and humility that make you so special," Chiranjeevi wrote. He wished Bachchan good health, endless happiness and many more years of doing what he loves.

The guru label also matches a role they shared on screen. Bachchan made a special appearance in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy as Gosayi Venkanna, the guru of Chiranjeevi's character.

The birthday star greeted the day with a short note of his own on X: "Morning has arrived, and here I am, sitting with you!"

Growing older is something he has spoken about in plain terms. "Everyone must accept that we will age and age is not always flattering," Bachchan has said.
