Megastar Chiranjeevi has shared a fresh progress report on Kaaka, and it is good news for fans waiting for his next big-screen outing. The actor said the entire first half of the film is already shot, and around 30 percent of the second half has also been completed. Kaaka is his second film with director Bobby Kolli, the pair having earlier delivered the mass entertainer Waltair Veerayya.

Chiranjeevi reportedly spoke about the film while attending the pre-release event of Sundeep Kishan's Sigma. Sounding confident about how the project is shaping up, he declared "Sankranti manade", a clear sign that the team is aiming squarely at the festival season. Reports say the film is on track for a release on 13 January 2027, in time for Sankranti.

Post-production is already running alongside the shoot. The makers had earlier said that dubbing was in full swing, and according to reports, music director S. Thaman has started re-recording work on the first half. The quick progress on a film of this size is reportedly being seen as a mark of Bobby's fast working style.

Chiranjeevi reportedly plays a character named Kadiri Kalidas. The cast is said to include Anaswara Rajan, Nivetha Pethuraj, Sunil and Getup Srinu in important roles, and the film is being mounted on a lavish scale under the KVN Productions banner.

Going by the title glimpse, Kaaka is reportedly set to mix family drama with intense action. The film also comes at a strong moment for the star, who is said to have scored the biggest blockbuster of his career with Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. With the shoot moving at this pace, Kaaka is shaping up as one of the major attractions of Sankranti 2027.
