# Bigg Boss 5: Shanmukh becomes the eighth captain of the house!

This chaotic episode of [Bigg Boss 5](https://clapnumber.com/tv-series/telugu/season-5) begins with the captaincy task announced by Bigg Boss. In this task, the captaincy contenders carry gunny bags filled with thermocol balls. They must constantly walk within the perimeter of a three-layered circle. If the contestant stops walking, they get immediately disqualified. When the game gets to only two contenders remaining, the one who has the most thermocol balls in their gunny bags becomes the captain. 

As the task started, [Jessie](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/jaswanth-padala-jessie) misunderstood the task by thinking that whichever player gets out of the circle gets immediately disqualified. [Sunny](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/vj-sunny) and [Sreeram](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/sreerama-chandra-mynampati) get into a heated dispute as they tackle each other out of the ring. Bigg Boss calls in [Jessie](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/jaswanth-padala-jessie) to clarify the rules. 

The game started fresh again. [Sreeram](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/sreerama-chandra-mynampati) immediately targetted [Sunny](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/vj-sunny) and had him disqualified. As if that wasn't enough, he also constantly provoked [Sunny](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/vj-sunny) till he burst into an outrage. [Sreeram](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/sreerama-chandra-mynampati) targetted [Maanas](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/maanas-nagulapalli) next by disqualifying him the same way as [Sunny](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/vj-sunny). Later [Sreeram](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/sreerama-chandra-mynampati) himself got disqualified after [Anee Master](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/anee-master), and other contenders tackled him out. 

When only [Anee Master](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/anee-master), Siri and [Shanmukh](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/shanmukh-jaswanth) remain, the latter two try to corner [Anee Master](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/anee-master) out of the game. [Anee Master](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/anee-master) immediately reads the situation, and she gets so outraged by their groupism that she dumps away her thermocol balls and walks out of the ring. She rages about how repulsive the groupism of Siri and [Shanmukh](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/shanmukh-jaswanth)'s and [Maanas](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/maanas-nagulapalli) and [Sunny](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/vj-sunny)'s are. 

In the end, Siri and [Shanmukh](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/shanmukh-jaswanth) remain. After what seemed like 2 minutes, [Shanmukh](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/shanmukh-jaswanth) easily won against his show best friend and became the captain.
