# ‘Adipurush’ is Releasing on January 12th, 2023

In a slight disappointment to [Prabhas](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/prabhas) fans, the release date of ‘[Adipurush](https://clapnumber.com/movies/telugu/adipurush)’ has been announced and it is locked on January 12th, 2023. Initially the film was scheduled to arrive at the box office on August 11th 2022 but due to unexpected circumstances, the makers postponed the release.

A Sankranthi release is a big advantage for the film and [Prabhas](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/prabhas) is the first hero to have locked this big holiday season.

This also means [Prabhas](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/prabhas) will be having just two releases this year instead of three which was anticipated earlier. The other film of [Prabhas](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/prabhas) that is likely to hit the ticket counter this year is ‘Salaar’ which is a high octane action entertainer.

‘[Adipurush](https://clapnumber.com/movies/telugu/adipurush)’ is based on Ramayana and is being made with high technical values in 3D format. [Prabhas](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/prabhas) is playing the role of Raghav and it also stars [Saif Ali Khan](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/saif-ali-khan), [Kriti Sanon](https://clapnumber.com/celebrity/kriti-sanon) and Sunny Singh in vital roles.

A directorial of Om Raut, the film’s shooting was wrapped up recently. Extensive post-production works are going on and the makers are not compromising on the quality of VFX.
