Shruti haasan is an Indian film Actress and Occasional singer who works predominantly in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi language films. Born to the prominent Haasan's family. She is the daughter of actor Kamal haasan and Sarika. She has studied at abacus in Chennai until 10th grade. She moved to Mumbai to study psychology at st.Andrew's college.

Through her successful career, she has awarded three filmfare awards and has established herself as one of the leading actresses of south indian cinema. As a child artist, she sang in films and appeared in a guest role in her father’s film "hey ram" in 2000, her adult acting debut in the Bollywood action drama "luck" in 2009.

As a singer is proved her talent in the movies. Shruti haasan sang her first song aged just six in her father's "Thevar Magan" in the composition of ilaiyaraaja. From childhood is interested in music. So to learn music, she joined musician institute in California USA. Her first music composed in tamil film "Unnaipol Oruvan" in 2009.
