# Prabhas Actor, Contestant · Born 1979-10-23 ## Biography Prabhas is a south Indian Superstar, known to all as Young Rebel Star, a name he acquired from his uncle and actor, Uppalapati Krishnam Raju. He is the youngest son of the late U. Suryanarayana Raju and Siva Kumari couple. His family hails from Mogalturu village, but later they moved to Bhimavaram in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. He has an elder brother Pramod Uppalapati and an elder sister Pragathi.  His father was a film producer and produced under the banner Gopi Krishna Movies, and is the younger brother of Senior Telugu actor Uppalapati Krishnam Raju. He was born on 23 October 1979 in Mogalturu village. He is an Engineering Graduate who graduated from Sri Chaitanya College in Hyderabad.  He came into films with Eeswar released in 2002 but shot to fame with his angry young man look from Varsham movie released in 2006. During his career, he won a Nandi award and a SIIMA award. A silent star, who prefers to have a private life. His movie Baahubali 2, is the first Indian film ever to gross over ₹1,000crores, in all languages in just ten days, and it is the second highest-grossing Indian film to date.
