## Biography
Lakshmi Manchu was born on 8th October 1977 in Chennai in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna, nicknamed Lakshmi Manchu, is an Indian film actress, producer and television presenter, known for her works at Telugu films and American television. Daughter of veteran actor Mohan Babu, Lakshmi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theater from the University of Oklahoma City. She made her film debut in the American TV series Las Vegas, where she played the minor role of Sarasvati Kumar, James Lesure’s love interest. She then appeared in an episode of each of the following series: Desperate Housewives, Late Nights with My Lover and Mystery ER. She has also appeared in commercials for Chevrolet, AARP and Toyota. In 2006, she directed, produced and starred in Perfect Lives, a short film presented at the Wilshire Fine Arts Theater as part of the Los Angeles Women’s Film Festival. Lakshmi won the South Indian International Movie Award, two State Nandi Award and the Filmfare Awards South. She made her theater debut as Miss Trunchbull in the adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Matilda directed by Taher Ali Baig in 2016.  She is the daughter of Mohan Babu and Vidya Devi. She has brothers named, Vishnu and Manoj Manchu. She is married to Andy Srinivasan and has 1 daughter.
