## Biography
Mammootty (Muhammad Kutty Ismail Paniparambil) is an Indian film Actor and Producer. He predominantly works in Malayalam film industry. He made his debut with the Malayalam film "Anubhavangal Paalichakal" in the year 1971. He made his debut with the Tamil film "Mounam Sammadham" in the year 1990.He has acted in over 350 films in his career. Mammootty owns a distribution company named "Playhouse Entertainments". He also runs television channels such as People TV, Kairali TV, and Channel We. Mammootty was a Lawyer by profession. He was a lead actor in the 1980s film.He got his major breakthrough with the commercial success of the film "New Delhi" in the year 1987. He has honored with the Padma Shri Award for his contribution towards film industry. He was honored with an honorary Doctorate of Letters, D. Litt by the University of Kerela and Calicut  He has received three National Film Awards, five Kerala State Film Award, twelve Filmfare Awards and five Asianet Film Award.
